Preme lakshyam, seve maargam – Chiranjeevi

“Universal Love is our aim and we shall achieve it through Service to Mankind”

Drawing Inspiration from our leader Chiranjeevi’s words, we, people of software industry are trying for the small positive changes he wants to bring in a common man’s life to build a better society through our little contributions. Under the able leadership of Mr. Adapa Raja Suresh, we started organizing several social service events and social awareness programmes on weekends. Every member of this team has the fire and spirit in him to serve the society and travel in the path laid by our leader Chiranjeevi. This team is growing stronger day by day and every team member is confident that we will succeed in our journey towards excellence.

Members of DOIT, in spite of their busy schedules take out some time on weekends just to contribute for the organization’s noble plans. The planning committee sits by weekly to discuss the organization’s future events. The plans are carried out by the soft ware professionals who are taking out their Saturdays and Sundays for serving people.

Below is the list of events our organization held till date:

We have conducted PEACE walk with candles on 30th November to condemn Mumbai Terrorist attack. We have started PEACE walk from Prasad IMAX theater to LUMBINI park at Hyderabad. We got good response from the public and also they joined with us on this Peace walk. Aproximately 60 DoIT volunteers participated in this event. Convenor Adapa Raja Suresh said "DoIT salutes the real heroes who save the lives of people. We are paying homage to people who lost their lives in the attack. We Indians are united and never fear these types of attacks. Every person should aware of their surroundings. In case you come across any suspicious activity or any suspicious movement please inform to police. This is our right". We placed candles at Lumbini park and pray for the peace.

Event 1: (A day with the forgotten people)
As a part of this noble journey, we first visited “OM SHANTHI OM” old age home at UDA colony, Miyapur on June 28th 2008. Main intension of this programme was to show our love for the forgotten people and show that we care for them and we succeeded in that. This programme held by our team was a huge success as it was evident by the happiness visible on the faces of the old and young present there.

Our committee members organized several games, events and other fun activities with great enthusiasm that it brought back the children out of those old people. Gifts and fruits were distributed to the winners and other participants. Main attraction of the event was an old lady above 80 years age showing us that age is only for body but not mind; she stole the show with her endless energy.

Everyone was happy and the joy and satisfaction visible on the faces of the volunteers and old people was a moment to capture. We got blessings from the elder people and moved with lighter hearts with fond memories behind. Every one left for the day with the thought in mind that the first step was indeed a best one.

 Event 2: (A day with god’s children)
The success and motivation we got by the initial step of our DOIT campaign encouraged us to take our mission forward with more vigor. The second event was visit to an orphanage school “ALPHA”.

As a part of this campaign our volunteers entertained the children by conducting several games and showed them that “we care” by showering enough love and affection. In return the kids amused our team by show casing their talents. The way they danced for our Chiranjeevi’s songs really brought back the memories of our own “CHIRU”. Later we had lunch with the children and spent our remaining day playing with them.

One instance is worth mentioning here that a volunteer of our DOIT team was so excited and touched by the activities of the children that he bought a Colour Television set worth 15k on the spot and gifted to that school. Every member of DOIT has this kind of spark in them. We left the school with our hearts filled with the good wishes and the innocent love of the children.

If our first step was a success our second step was even better and the way things went were an evidence of a small social reformation taking place.

Event 3: (Opportunity to give life)
Whole India is aware of the fact that PadmaBhushan Dr. Chiranjeevi has got unique set of fan clubs which showed the rest of country what true admiration is all about. We, as proud fans of Chiranjeevi can state we are the followers of a noble man who knew the importance of life and lead his fans and followers to take the path of service. Taking his call we created a small revolution in blood donation service. That is the power of Chiranjeevi “OUR LEADER”.

Blood donation is the best way we can save a life. As responsible fans of Chiru, dynamites of IT visited the blood bank on June 21st 2008 and donated blood. Knowing the importance of blood donation and creating awareness among people were the events planned for that day.

Event 4: (A remarkable day of love and hope)
On June 22nd 2008, our team visited “AMMA ANADHA VIDYARDHI GRUHAMU” at Saraswathi nagar, New Gaddi Annaram.

This day was remarkable in the sense that DOIT members adopted 15 orphans and took the responsibility of spending Rs.1000/- on each person they adopted. This was such a significant moment, keeping in mind that the donations were announced without any self gain. We got the same response from the children, same love as in the second event. After all they are children, messengers of god. People of our team also promised to donate a sum of RS 2Lakhs for the school.

We gifted them with TV, fans, chairs, plates and blankets. The hope and happiness we saw in the eyes of little ones assured us of great things in future. We just thought we might have helped a future SUPERSTAR, who knows.

It was a life time memory we can cherish in our hearts to see people serving so selflessly and ready to donate their hard earned money for the sake of society. The service was viewed as duty by each team member and that was the main reason for the grand success of our mission.

A real HERO was seen in every volunteer. We proved we are real Dynamites.

Event 5: (A Day with Angels)

One of our team’s most important and memorable activities was attending the “Radha School for Mentally Challenged” at Baglingam Palli on June28th 2008.

Our team members got a rare chance of spending time with the little angels and every Dynamite grabbed the chance with both hands. The happiness and calmness experienced in the company of those differently gifted children was unexplainable. It is a splendid feeling to share our day with those grown up children who have the purest of hearts and cleanest of minds.

As a part of that event all our volunteers took enough care that all the children enjoyed a lot. Special attention was given to those kids and we were privileged enough to see their dances and other playful activities. Our volunteers donated 25 chairs and other goods which were of basic necessity.
We knew that our day was blessed by god and we have lived a day far from worldly pleasures and tensions. It was indeed a day of fruitful events, which helped the team to bond and know each other well.
